Lostwithiel is situated in the
Fowey river valley in Cornwall, once the Duchy Capital and a stannary
town. Along with its history the town offers antique shops, shops,
markets, auctions, restaurants, riverside walks, fishing and other
river activities.
Lostwithiel Museum
In Fore Street, the building is of Georgian origin and was first
used as the Corn Exchange. It has a varied display of items, craft
tools, agricultural implements, medals, minerals and Lostwithiel's
original 18th century hand pumped fire engine.
Lostwithiel Bridge
Dates from the 13th century
St. Bartholemew's Church
Believed to be built on the foundations of an earlier church. Features
of the Church include the Lantern Spire 14th century; the eastern
window and the Pentewan stone font 13th century.
Coulson Park
Fowey River runs through the park. Fenced children's playground,
grassy river banks. At the end of the Park there is a short quay
that takes you towards Shirehall Moor where the valley opens out
to the salt marsh and is a haven for wildlife.

To be held at the Boconnoc Estate near Lostwithiel. Free parking

Lostwithiel Featival
Annual one day event held in May, with arts, crafts, antique stalls,
musicians, entertainers, activities, workshops and demonstrations.
Lostwithiel Carnival
Week long annual event held in July, with a Charity Fayre, Cricket,
Rounders and Five-A-Side Football competitions, Street Party, Pram
Race ending with a Parade and fireworks.
Lostwithiel Food Festival
Week long annual event held in October.
