Camelford in north Cornwall was
formerly an important market town, it is situated in the River Camel
valley and near to Bodmin Moor. It is said that King Arthur fought
a battle at Slaughter Bridge which is close to the town.
North Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery
Privately owned museum and art gallery. The museum covers life in
North Cornwall for the past 100 years. including farming, dairy,
cider-making, tools, carpentry, wagons, granite, slate and many
other items relating to Cornisih life.
Cycling Museum
On the Camelford to Boscastle road in an old Victorian railway station,
it has a host of cycling memorabilia, hundreds of cycles, work shop,
books, pictures etc.

Birdwatchers will not be disappointed at this moorland lake, flocks
of starlings roost here in the winter months. Walking, picnic area
and a bird hide, 20 minute walk, from the car park along the north
bank. Trout angling. Environment Agency rod licence holders may
fish for free on this 115 acres water by spinning, fly or bait from
March - October.

Davidstow
Covers approx 7000 acres on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Main industry
is farming. Davidstow Cheddar Cheese is produced here.
Davidstow Airfield & Cornwall at War Museum
Dedicated primarily to RAF Davidstow which opened in 1942 and
closed in 1945. Also covers other airfields along the North Cornwall
coast, the Royal Navy, Army civilian services, home front etc.
Displays depicting the Royal Observer Corps (WWII and Cold War)
and The Light Infantry.
Davidstow Parish Church dates from the 13th Century, restoration
work was carried out in the 15th century and again in the late
19th century by the Pearse family of Trehane.
Delabole
Approx. 2 miles from Camelford is famous for the slate it produces.
St. Teath
There are several listed buildings in the village. The Parish
Church dates from the 14th century, the tower has 5 bells, to
the back of the church there is a 16th century slate gravestone,
restoration work was carried out in the 19th century.
